WHIDBEY PATROL SQUADRON MEMORIAL - BRONZE MONUMENT BY MICHAEL MAIDEN

Honoring All PV Squadrons

The Whidbey Patrol Squadron Memorial honors the 60 patrol squadrons that have been based at the NAS Whidbey Island in Oak Harbor, Washington. The monument was championed by two previous Patrol Squadron crew members, Don Hanson and Dave Bowen, who did a wonderful job with this project.

Standing behind the sculpture, is a black granite wall. Etched into the granite is a picture of a P2V aircraft , as well as the 60 Patrol Squadrons and the names of more than 80 crewmembers who have lost their lives in P2V operations.
